Francesco Segala's Hercules, from Padua to Venice

From April 25 to August 3 one of the few works by Renaissance sculptor Francesco Segala, a Hercules conserved at the Musei Civici in Padua (along with an Omphale), will be exhibited at the Gallery. Its presence at Palazzo Cini will coincide with that of the Madonna and Child by Giovanni De’ Fondulis, at the exhibition “Donatello e la sua lezione. Riflessioni sulla scultura e l’oreficeria nella Padova tra Quattrocento e Cinquecento” (Musei Civici agli Eremitani/Palazzo Zuckermann, Padua, 27 March – 26 July 2015).
